What changed.
The challenge
A stack of paper and a lot of waiting.
Vendor bills for five separate entities arrived by email and mail. Someone printed them, walked them to the right signer, and chased the ones that stalled. Some took weeks, and late fees followed.
What we built
Bills that read themselves and find their approver.
Bills are uploaded or forwarded. The system reads the vendor, amount, entity and GL code, then routes each bill to the right people for that entity. Only one person works a bill at a time, and every step is recorded.
